Platforms and their Societal Impact. A Force for Good?
Panel Discussion on 22 June at 4 pm CET.
This panel discussion will concentrate on the impact platforms have on broader societal phenomena, e.g., the spread of information through social media platforms, increased access and inclusion through microcredit and crowdfunding platforms, and reduced waste through sharing platforms. The panelists and the audience will discuss and derive conditions under which platforms can indeed address some of the grand challenges that society faces, and which detrimental consequences the specific organizational features of platforms can have.
The confirmed speakers for the event are Anil Doshi (UCL, UK); Tobias Kretschmer (ISTO LMU Munich, DE); Gurneeta Vasudeva (University of Minnesota, USA); Stina Heikkila (Boundaryless, Research Coordinator Lead), Fredrik Gulowsen (Nyby, CEO and Founder).
