With apologies for cross-listing. Please forward to outstanding students at the undergraduate and terminal masters level who are seeking to advance their education.
The Management Department at the University of Memphis has a highly productive research faculty and will be seeking to admit several strong applicants to the PhD program in FA 21. Details on the doctoral program, a link to apply, and faculty research interests and recent publications can be seen here.
We are particularly seeking applicants who are aligned with the research interests of our currently faculty. These can be generally classified as Diversity & Inclusion, Social Networks and Networking, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management. Students interested in D&I can also get applied experience through the college's Center for Workplace Diversity and Inclusion.
The Department promotes a cohesive and productive work environment. Students work primarily with one faculty member through their graduate careers but are encouraged to work with other faculty to diversity their research experience and build their research records.
The Department offers competitive funding with the bulk of assistantship activities devoted to research. Advanced students have the opportunity to teach in the classroom and online to strengthen their CVs. Memphis offers a diverse population, a low cost of living, and the cultural and entertainment options of a mid-size city.
