    Dear STR Members,

I hope this email finds you all well.

I am excited to share with you some interesting updates on the Communications of the STR Division. First and foremost, it is exciting to see a growing engagement with our activities and social media, and I hope you will enjoy the new calendar of scholarly and social  #STRongerTogether initiatives we have jointly prepared. Despite being admittedly late movers in the AOM social media space, STR currently has 2,300+ Twitter followers, 400+ Youtube subscribers (with 10,400+ unique viewers and 2,000+ watch-time hours); also we have just hit 100 followers on Instagram. Overall we now proudly mobilize one of the most active divisions of the Academy of Management, both offline and online.

Our members are increasingly eager to be fully engaged with our initiatives, and often approach us with questions.  The following FAQ is aimed to resolve many of the questions we receive, while giving credit to the 12 amazing volunteers which are part of the STR Communications team.

Where can I find all the events of the STR Strategic Management Division?

On the homepage of our Division website https://str.aom.org/ you will find the complete schedule of events as published on the official AOM Event Calendar. Here you will also find useful info and registration links. On the home page you will also find a Google calendar which can be automatically synced with your personal account, so that you are always updated about our events.

These are kept up to date thanks to our amazing STR Calendar Team: Aldona Kapacinskaite (LBS), Christopher Sabel (BI Norwegian Business School), and Miros Zohrehvand (UCL).

I could not attend some of your events, are the recordings available?

Yes, you can see every scholarly #STRongerTogether event (i.e., Meet the Scholar, PDW, or Symposium) in our wonderful YouTube Channel – where our Youtube manager Qian (Cecilia) Gu (Georgia State U.) uploads the edited video around 48h after each event.

We will be soon releasing a podcast channel too, if you prefer listening to the events, rather than watching them.

    Is STR on social media?

Besides the aforementioned YouTube Channel, we are present with our account on Twitter @AOM_STR and Instagram at AOM_STR. The former features tweets from Zeke Hernandez (U. of Pennsylvania), Pinar Ozcan (Oxford U.), Rob Seamans (NYU), Ralf Wilden (MacQuarie U.) and myself (City U. Of London). For the latter, the fun posts are created by the Sarosh Asad and Madeleine Rausch (CBS).

I would like to promote one of my events to the STR members, how can I do it?

Log in with your AOM credentials and post your event in the STR Discussions-our excellent moderator Scott Johnson (Iowa State U.), will check the content and if suitable (as in most cases) he will share it with the entire STR Community (usually within 48h). The post will be permanently visible online, so you can use the web link of your post for other purposes. The STR Discussion text editor allows to give your post a flashy look (with colors, fonts, pictures) and attach documents. Also remember that the STR Discussions is a two-way channel which allows members to leave comments and ask questions to the organizers. Also, tweet from your own account by including the twitter handle @AOM_STR, and we will retweet it. The same applies to Instagram.

I would like to be part of the STR Communication team – are you looking for more volunteers?

Always! Send an email to me (paolo.aversa.1@city.ac.uk) or to any member of the communication team stating your skills and availability.

Thanks again for your continuous engagement and energy.

I hope to see you all soon online or, even better, in person!

    Best wishes,

    Paolo
