    At the peak of globalization as an ideology and in practice, many scholars argued that the nation states had become irrelevant as MNEs cut through borders and operated as mini-nations. The transnational and metanational entities operated with global interdependence. Today, the winds have changed. What does this change mean for business? What are the implications for theory and practice?
