Third Annual European M&A Institute Conference
12-13 December, 2024 | Toulouse, France
The European M&A Institute (eM&Ai) is a scientific network that fosters collaboration and research in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) across Europe. We aim to promote joint research initiatives and stimulate dialogue among M&A scholars.
We are thrilled to announce the call for participants for the 3rd Annual eM&Ai Conference, to be held in Toulouse on December 12-13, 2024. Following the success of our previous editions, which focused on strengthening collaboration between scholars and practitioners, this year's conference shifts focus to doctoral students and early-career scholars. The event will begin midday on December 12 and conclude after lunch on December 13, 2024. Hosted by the Toulouse School of Management (TSM), TSM-Research and the French National Agency for Research (ANR), the conference will take place in the vibrant city of Toulouse.
Conference Theme: Building Bridges Across Generations of M&A Scholars
One of eM&Ai's core aims is to support collaboration between scholars at different stages of their academic journeys. This year, in addition to sharing research insights from the various scholars present, we are dedicated to creating a platform where PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, assistant professors, and senior scholars can come together to share insights, receive valuable feedback, and build lasting professional connections.
Why Attend
The conference offers a unique opportunity for early-career M&A researchers, including PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, and assistant professors, to receive valuable feedback on their research, discuss their work in an interactive setting, and engage with senior scholars. Senior and junior researchers are warmly invited to present their research, even at an early stage, in parallel sessions to peers or share methodological interrogations and challenges. PhD participants will benefit from mentoring sessions where distinguished faculty provide advice and roundtable discussions that foster collaboration and networking.
Senior faculty members are also invited to share their ongoing research projects.
In addition, there is no conference fee, and all meals during the event are complimentary to all participants. PhD students can apply for funding to cover travel and accommodation costs. Funding is limited and will be awarded based on the quality of the application.
