    The Department of Management and Leadership at Texas Christian University invites applications for the position of Department Chair and Full/Associate Professor of Management. We seek a visionary and dynamic leader committed to advancing the department's academic and research excellence. The Chair will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, promoting faculty development, fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusion, and supporting the department's teaching and research profile within the university and externally.

    Description

    Candidates for the position should possess a Ph.D. in Management, Leadership, Strategy, or closely related field. Successful candidates will have a distinguished record of research, teaching, and service that qualifies for a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of Full/Associate Professor, as well as leadership experience in departmental, college and/or university-level administrative roles. Candidates should have strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; commitment to promoting academic excellence and innovation in teaching and research; and strategic vision with the ability to implement and manage change. The ability to contribute to our collegial and inclusive departmental culture is a top priority.

The tenured/tenure-track faculty include David Allen, Artemis Boulamatsi, Terrance "T.L." Boyd, Garry Bruton, Michael Cole, Craig Crossland, Ryan Krause, Hettie Richardson, Alessandra Rizzi, Abbie Shipp, Teodora Tomova Shakur, and Mary Uhl-Bien. Faculty regularly publish in top journals, with publications in recent years in Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Personnel Psychology, and Strategic Management Journal, among others. Our faculty are editors of top journals in their disciplines, hold leadership positions in the Academy of Management and Strategic Management Society, and serve on editorial boards of the premier journals in management.     Requirements

    Candidates for the position should have a distinguished record of research, teaching, and service that qualifies for a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of Full/Associate Professor of Management. Leadership experience in departmental, college and/or university-level administrative roles is preferred.
