    The PhD specialization in Strategy and Management at HEC Paris is open for applications. The deadline for applying to our January session is January 9th, 2020. Please follow the following link:

    We are seeking qualified applicants who are interested in an academic career in the field of strategy and management. The PhD specialization in Strategy and Management benefits from the full support and attention of the faculty of the Strategy and Business Policy department at HEC Paris.

    Our department has a tradition of close collaboration between students and faculty and has typically achieved strong placement. Our PhD graduates are active scholars who teach at prominent business schools in North America (e.g., Ivey, Ohio State, Purdue, UCLA) and Europe (e.g., Bocconi, Cambridge, INSEAD, Tilburg). The PhD program offers full living stipend and tuition waiver.

    The Strategy and Business Policy Department at HEC Paris

    The Strategy and Business Policy Department at HEC Paris comprises a large group of research-active strategy scholars. The group consists of Mitali Banerjee, Ankur Chavda, Olivier Chatain, Yasir Dewan, Rodolphe Durand, Pierre Dussauge, Oliver Gottschalg, Marieke Huysentruyt, Hyejun Kim, John Mawdsley, Denisa Mindruta, Tomasz Obloj, Gonçalo Pacheco de Almeida, Nils Plambeck, Bertrand Quélin, Elie Sung, and Georg Wernicke. This is a truly international group with faculty hailing from 10 different countries. Our faculty serves on the editorial boards of the leading management journals, including three Associate Editors at the flagship Strategic Management Journal.

    We have a strong record of academic research addressing a wide set of phenomenon, such as entrepreneurship, strategic alliances, incentives and organizational design, innovation, value-based strategies, non-market strategies, and market categorization, using a wide array of disciplinary outlooks including sociology, behavioral perspectives and organizational economics.
