Symposium
on "
How
To
Experiment
:
Lessons
from Economics
" session 1198
What can we learn from
how
economists run
experiment
s?
Join a discussion with Stefano Brusoni (ETH Zurich), Giada Di Stefano (Bocconi University), Chuck Eesley (Stanford), Jacqueline Lane (Harvard Business School), Leandro Pongeluppe (The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania), and Chiara Spina (INSEAD) at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting on
August 8th
at
10 am (Seattle time/Pacific Daylight Time).
During this hybrid session (both in-person in Seattle and online), we will discuss insights from interviews with economists including David Atkin (MIT and J-Pal), David McKenzie (World Bank), and Alvin Roth (Stanford and Nobel Laureate), and talk through
how
practices from economics can be applied
to
experiment
s in management. W
e will share practical tips about pre-registrations, lab and field
experiment
s, and different types of interventions.
There will be time for Q&As, as well - we expect a lively debate and plenty of actionable insights for researchers at all stages of their careers.
