    Position: The Department of Management & Entrepreneurship within Auburn University's Harbert College of Business seeks to fill a tenure-track position in Strategic Management at the assistant professor level with an anticipated start date of August 2025.

     

    The Department is committed to conducting top-tier research in Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Entrepreneurship.  It offers an undergraduate major in Management with concentrations in Organizational Leadership, Human Resources Management, and Entrepreneurship.  Departmental faculty contribute to the college's multiple MBA programs and oversee the development of future scholars in the departmental Ph.D. program.  Successful candidates for this position will join a team with sixteen tenured/tenure track faculty and eight non-tenure track faculty.

     

    Qualifications:  Applicants must possess a doctorate in Management before the date of employment. Candidates' academic training and research programs should be in the area of Strategic Management. Candidates with secondary research interests in Entrepreneurship are desired.  Applicants must provide evidence of excellence in research and teaching. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

     

    Candidates must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. when the appointment begins and be able to continue working legally for the term of employment.

     

    Responsibilities:  The person hired will be expected to maintain a consistent publication record in elite scholarly journals as defined by the Department's journal list, demonstrate teaching proficiency, and provide some institutional service. The person hired will primarily teach undergraduate courses in Strategic Management with an initial annual course load of three (3) courses. In addition, participation in the Department's doctoral program is expected. Participation might include working with doctoral students on research papers, mentoring doctoral students, recruiting doctoral program applicants, or serving on dissertation committees.
