I am looking for a Post Doc and a PhD-student to join my group at the University of Passau.
What role does competition play in outstanding scientific discoveries? How do we incentivize breakthrough science? The project in the field "Science of Science" investigates how different forms of competition shape the behaviour of researchers and ultimately influence the nature of research, collaboration and research progress. It is part of the DFG Research Unit (FOR 5234) "Multiple Competition in Higher Education", which consists of members from numerous universities and research institutions. Within the framework of the interdisciplinary network (economics, business administration and sociology), coordinated support is provided for early career researchers, offering attractive conditions for further academic qualification.
