    McGill's Desautels Faculty of Management invites applications for one or more open rank tenure-track positions in the Strategy and Organization Area, pending budget approval. The start date for the position is August 1st, 2023. Candidates must have (or be near completion) of a Ph.D. in management, entrepreneurship, strategy, organization theory, or in a related discipline including sociology and economics. Applicants demonstrating outstanding potential who are doctoral students and plan to have completed the requirements for their Ph.D. by December 2022 will also be considered. We have a particular interest in candidates who bring an organization theory lens to research and teaching on sustainability,entrepreneurship/innovation, and/or equity, diversity, and inclusion. Applicants in other sub-disciplines will also be considered.

    Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to advance a cutting-edge, compelling, and impactful research agenda. The ideal candidate will have evidence of effective teaching,  an experience-appropriate record of research publications in high quality, peer-reviewed journals, and clear promise of conducting innovative and important research publishable in the top journals in strategy and organization studies such as those listed on the Desautels 22. Successful candidates are also expected to work actively with doctoral students, to teach in our undergraduate and graduate programs, and contribute to the administration of the Area and Faculty. Teaching is done in English, but knowledge of French or a willingness to learn French is desirable.

    Compensation levels, teaching load, research funding, and travel support are competitive and commensurate with experience.
