    Format: In person symposium

Location: Sheraton Grand Seattle, Willow A - 2nd Floor

Organizers: Marvin Hanisch (University of Groningen), Hans Rawhouser (University of Nevada, Las Vegas), Wenqian Wang (Purdue University)

Topic and objectives: While a large part of academic research on blockchain technologies has been in the computer science field, management scholars have also started to embark on understanding how blockchain technologies may bring about implications for business strategies and organizational theories. This panel symposium seeks to assemble a group of management scholars that have research related to blockchain technologies. Our intent is to highlight some of the first research on blockchain technologies and have these researchers explain the possibilities that exist for high-quality research on blockchain technologies. Panelists can provide insights related to theory, data, as well as measurement.
