The Southampton Business School, University of Southampton, UK is seeking highly qualified domestic or international candidate for a
PhD on British South Asian Entrepreneurs.
This is a fully funded studentship awarded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership (SCDTP) commencing in 2021/22 Academic Year.
Deadline 18th January 2021.
We invite applications from motivated students with a basic training in and understanding of both quantitative methods of data analysis and qualitative methods of data collection and analysis, to work in the area of
entrepreneurship, business history and strategy
. This is an interdisciplinary research project that will focus on British South Asian entrepreneurs. The overarching goals are three-fold: i) to systematically capture, collate and document the early migration experiences; ii) to understand barriers and drivers of business growth; iii) the significance of South Asian entrepreneurial networks for future trade relationships between the UK and South Asia in the post- Brexit world.
