We would like to remind you of the upcoming deadlines to submit (and review) for the annual conference!

• The AoM deadline for all conference submissions is Tuesday, January 10 2023 at 17:00 ET (UTC-5/GMT-5). Information on the annual meeting is available here.
  
  
• Please remember to sign up to review for the annual conference. Reviewing helps your officer team create a fantastic program and ensures you are aware of contemporary research in the field. Please sign up to review for the annual conference here.
  
  

We would also like to inform you of some potentially exciting virtual events that the STR division is sponsoring in January. Zoom registration information is available in the links for each virtual event below, in addition to being posted on the STR calendar.  We will also record these sessions and make them available on our YouTube and BiliBili channels and in podcast form for those unable to attend the events. 

Monday, January 9, 2023: 

• STR Distinctiveness Session:  Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, and Strategic Human Resource Management – January 9^that 10 am ET.
  
  Jay Barney (U of Utah), Peter Capelli (U of Pennsylvania), Dan Elfenbein (Washington U at St. Louis), and Patrick Wright (U of South Carolina) will present their views regarding research opportunities within the Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, and Strategic Human Resource Management fields. This session is moderated by Philipp Meyer-Doyle (INSEAD).

Thursday, January 19, 2023:

• STR Virtual Symposium on Open Strategy– January 19th at 12:30 pm ET
  
  Martin Friesl (U of Bamberg), Julia Hautz (Innsbruck U), David Seidl (U of Zurich), and Eero Vaara (U of Oxford) will introduce their latest work and discuss opportunities for future research on Open Strategy. Ann Majchrzak (USC) will offer comments. This session is chaired and moderated by Richard Whittington (Oxford).  
  
  

Monday, January 31, 2023:

• STR Virtual Symposium: Resources and Capabilities – January 31^stat 10am ET
  
  Gary Dushnitsky (LBS), Martin Ganco (U of Wisconsin), Elena Novelli (City U, London), Robert Seamans (New York U), and Deepak Somaya (U of Illinois) will share their thoughts regarding the importance and research opportunities involving financial, human capital, general-purpose technology, artificial intelligence, and intellectual property. This session is moderated by Mahka Moeen (U of North Carolina).
