Colleagues,
In November 2016, 60 leaders of business sustainability research centres from five continents gathered at INSEAD to explore shared challenges related to centre management, teaching, research and outreach. As there are relatively few meetings that support Centre leaders, I thought I would share the outputs with the BPS group. These outputs are intended to raise our collective capacity. The workshop was an initiative of the Sustainability Centres Community (SCC), which is managed by the Network for Business Sustainability (NBS) at the Ivey Business School (Western University, London, Canada).
I hope you find the following materials helpful:
· What I Wish I Knew before Launching a Centre. Take the online survey to share your advice on running a centre, which we will share with this listserv.
· How to Manage a Centre
· How Centres Can Support Effective Teaching
· How Centres Can Support Research that Impacts Practice
If you are thinking about starting a sustainability centre, I recommend you check out the Sustainability Centres Community, which is a group of 135 sustainability centres from business schools around the world.
Sincerely,
Tima Bansal
