Northern Illinois University, the second-largest public university in the state of Illinois, is a comprehensive university with about 22,000 students located in DeKalb, Illinois, which is 65 miles west of downtown Chicago. The Management Department has 10 full-time faculty members who teach in the undergraduate, evening MBA, and Professional and Executive MBA programs. Faculty members support undergraduate programs in entrepreneurship, leadership and management, human resource management, and business administration, as well as a variety of graduate management courses in the M.B.A. and M.A.S. programs in the college. Currently, the department has developed growing minors in entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship in our undergraduate program and sees opportunities to enhance offerings both in the undergraduate and graduate classrooms and across the university. NIU's alumni base of 224,000, accessibility to Chicagoland's dynamic business community, and developed relationships within a large network of entrepreneurs provides many exciting opportunities to continue to grow and advance the area of entrepreneurship.<o p="#DEFAULT"></o>

We seek applicants with a PhD, DBA, or ABD in Management or related field from an accredited school. Applicants must show potential to be successful scholars, effective teachers at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and be able to work collegially within the department, college, and university to advance entrepreneurship initiatives. Successful teaching experience in an area of management is required. Applicants at associate rank must have a research record commensurate with experience. A research and teaching background related to entrepreneurship, refereed publications, and related business experience are desired. Support for research activity is offered and includes summer support, travel, and graduate assistants. Research active faculty have a 3-2 teaching load with a reduction to 2-2 for the first 2 years. Class sizes are typically in the mid-30 range. The position will commence in August 2015. <o style="font-family: Times; font-size: 10.0pt" p="#DEFAULT"></o>
