The Department of Economics, Management and Statistics (DEMS) of the University of Milano-Bicocca invites applications for a tenure track position of Assistant Professor in Management.
Profile
The ideal candidate would demonstrate the ability to conduct high quality research and teach in a multi-disciplinary environment. The new assistant professor will be part of the Department of Economics, Management and Statistics (DEMS), and is expected to contribute to undergraduate, master and PhD programs.
The ideal candidate will be ready to carry out research in strategic management, with a particular attention to data-driven decision making, in line with the mission of the Management Division and the Big Data Lab of the Department. The candidate must possess a sound background and expertise in the analysis of data concerning firms' competitive environment, strategy and organizational performance.
We are looking for candidates with a strong research record who can publish in top-tier journals, be effective teachers, and be willing to make other contributions to the department.
Teaching Load
The teaching load for the Assistant Professor in Management is 1 semester course annually in strategic management or marketing.
About the Department
DEMS employs a group of 60 full-time faculty members, as well as 39 postdocs and PhD students. The department is committed to investing heavily in the ongoing development of its faculty and its Management Division. The research and teaching area of the Department includes theoretical and applied economics, marketing and business strategy. DEMS faculty members have published in top-tier general and field journals such as American Economic Review, Economic Journal, Journal of Behavioral Decision Making, Annals of Statistics, Journal of Econometrics, European Economic Review, European Management Review, Industrial and Corporate Change, International Journal of Industrial Organization, International Journal of Central Banking, Journal of International Economics, Management Science, Energy Policy, Research Policy and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.

Salary and contract
The salary is within a range established by Italian academic system regulations. A four-year tax exemption on 90 percent of the salary is available according to the Italian tax law for those candidates who have been residing outside Italy for 2 years or more and a salary top-up is offered upon evaluation of assistant professors' research results.
