Professorship in the field of Leadership at EBS Business School in Germany

EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht is one of the leading private business

universities in Germany. The University has two faculties, EBS Business School and

The Department of Management and Economics at EBS Business School is seeking to appoint a new

faculty member at the Full Professor level in the following area:

Requirements

We are seeking an exceptional scholar with a demonstrated track record of published research and

teaching. Candidates should have a doctoral degree from a leading university and published in highlevel

international journals. International reputation, the ability to attract external research funding, and

an interest in executive education are desirable. The new faculty member is expected to contribute

significantly to the department's teaching and research activities. This includes active contributions to

the teaching programs on all levels, the design and lead of research projects, and the guidance of

academic teams involving the supervision of doctoral candidates and mentoring of junior faculty. We

expect the candidate to have a strong commitment to get involved in leadership-related topics in all

our executive education programs. Furthermore, the candidate is expected to play a role in the further

development of the department and the school.

About the Department, School and University

The Department of Management and Economics currently comprises professors in the areas of

Strategy, International Business, Organizational Theory and Behavior, Economics, and Philosophy. It

offers a vibrant and collaborative research environment. Core and adjunct members of the department

come from internationally renowned schools and publish in top journals in the management field

(Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Human Relations, Journal of

Managerial Psychology, Long Range Planning, Strategic Management Journal, etc.). Its members are

active in the international academic community through their membership on editorial boards of

leading journals and leadership roles in the Academy of Management and other organizations.

EBS Business School is accredited by EQUIS and part of the EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und

Recht, one of the leading private business universities in Germany. The campus is located at the heart
