I am developing a new Introduction to Entrepreneurship course (undergraduate) and am looking for class exercises on opportunity recognition and/or creativity.  If anyone has any suggestions or knows of any resources, the information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

We teach a segment on creativity and lateral thinking in our Innovation Opportunity Camp for high school kids based on an old book (originally published in 1970) called Lateral Thinking by Edward deBono.   ISBN 0-06-090325-2.

The book is excellent, primarily for the examples and exercises.   I would  highly recommend it.

Thinker-toys by Michalko (http://www.amazon.com/Thinkertoys-Handbook-Creativity-Michael-Michalko/dp/0898154081) has lots of good exercises. In particular, check out SCAMPER and the Lotus Blossom technique.

    Hope this helps,

    Eric
