    Dear all,

About 7 years ago, I asked how many schools had two strategy courses for undergraduate business majors.  Flagler College, at the time, was the only one that taught both Business Strategy and Corporate Strategy.  This dual capstone approach has been working for 10 years.  With Melissa's email getting so many responses (perhaps all from MBA level) I was wondering in the passing years how many undergrad programs now have both Business and Corporate level Strategy offerings.  Is anyone out there?

There is a significant difference between the two. However, I am saddled with trying to achieve both within a single class.

We, at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, (India) which started with a collaboration with the Harvard Business School, do not have an under grad program, but have an MBA prog. We had two courses, bot in the second year first and second semesters, one titled "Strategy Formulation" and the second, "Strategy Implementation". About 15 years back, we restructured it to have a Business strategy course in the first year end term and a corporate strategy course in the second year first term. The first had only 10 sessions, and did not deal with any implementation issues. The second course devoted about half of the sessions to implementation. Now we have a single course, all in the first year, of 30 sessions, of which about 8 deal with business strategy and the rest, with corporate strategy, both formulation and implementation.

What does the syllabus cover in the 8 business strategy
sessions versus 22 of corporate strategy? (Re: "30 sessions,
of which about 8 deal with business strategy and the rest,
with corporate strategy, both formulation and
    implementation")

Only 8 business strategy sessions seems underweight...
Is this because you cover some bus strategy subjects in,
    say, marketing?
Or is there another reason to weight corporate strategy so
    heavily?
