    To those of you whose research involves Latin America, I would like to invite submissions of extended abstracts to the 

    Bi Annual

    STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT

    IN LATIN AMERICA CONFERENCE

    Sao Paulo, Brazil, 2019

    The Eighth International Conference on Strategic Management in Latin America, cosponsored by FGV and the Journal of Business Research, will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, February 19-20, 2019. The theme of the conference is: "How can Latin American Firms Contribute to a more Rebalanced Society".

     

    KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

    Daniel Shapiro – Professor of Global Strategy, Simon Fraser University (Canada)

                  Co-Editor, Multinational Business Review

     

    A special meet the editors' session with Professor Naveen Donthu and Professor Shapiro, editors of Journal of Business Research and co-editor of Multinational Business Review, respectively will be held at the conference.

     

    IMPORTANT DATES AND SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

    Conference Date:  February 19 - 20 , 2019

    Submission of extended abstracts (1.500 words max):  March 31, 2018

    Deadline for full paper submission (Accepted extended abstracts): July 31, 2018

    Abstracts and papers must be submitted electronically to smla2019@fgv.br

    TYPES OF PAPERS:  

    The purpose of the Conference is to gather scholars and practitioners interested in the region to exchange theoretical insights, empirical research results and applications on current Latin American strategic management issues. The following contributions are welcome:

    1.     Rigorous Theoretical Papers

    2.     Applied or Empirical Research Papers

    3.     Comparative Case Studies

    4.     Teaching Cases

    All of the work must be original, unpublished and presented in their final form. A special issue of the Journal of Business Research with the best papers presented at the Conference will be published. The papers to be included in the special issue will be selected by a special editorial board based on a double blind review process.
