PhD Positions: Doctoral Programme in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering at Politecnico di Milano
The Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI) invites applicants to send their applications for a three-year full-time position as a PhD candidate starting from November 2015. Ten fully founded scholarships are available. The scholarship covers tuition fees, office space, access to library and software facilities. An annual travelling allowance is also provided and a compulsory study abroad period in a foreigner institution is required. Opportunities of teaching and tutoring MSc students are also foreseen.
We are searching for candidates with strong analytical and methodological skills as well as an interest in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering. The position requires candidates able and eager to engage and apply both qualitative and quantitative methods.
Our Doctoral Program is personalized to reflect the research interests of the students, while capitalizing on the strengths of our faculty. Candidates will be offered the opportunity to generate and publish research with faculty mentors and receive active support in conducting their own research.
The programme is highly international and POLIMI PhD graduates are held in high esteem not only in academia and research institutions but also in government and business where their research qualifications are increasingly demanded.

A committee of experts in the field in question will assess the applications once the public call will close at the end of May.
The assessment of the applicants will be based on the quality and relevance of their research project and their CV. Following an interview (also feasible via Skype), the Steering Committee of the programme will select the successful candidates and the admitted ranking list will be published as from 27th July 2015 on the PhD School webpage (www.dottorato.polimi.it).
