CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
2018 SOUTHERN MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (SMA) ANNUAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 6-8, 2018 LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY
We are happy to announce that the submission system is now open for the 2018 Southern Management Association (SMA) Annual Meeting! This year's meeting will take place in Lexington, Kentucky-home of fine bourbon, great basketball, fast horses, and for a few days in November, the best management conference the south has to offer. The meeting will be held November 6 – 10, 2018, at the Hilton Lexington/Downtown. The exchange of scholarly and practical knowledge, innovative professional development opportunities, and fun fellowship and networking promise to make SMA 2018 one of the best to date!
To find out what Lexington has to offer, visit: https://www.visitlex.com/ and http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/kentucky/hilton-lexington-downtown-LEXDTHF/index.html.
How Can You Be Involved?
You can participate by submitting your manuscripts and/or symposia and PDI proposals. We are open to submissions on broad range of strategic management topics (theories) and methodologies. You can also volunteer to review. The quality of our program is directly dependent on your active engagement! The deadline for submissions is April 23, 2018. We've made several minor changes to the submission process and have added additional details about the Innovative Teaching and PDI tracks. So please review the 2018 SMA Call for Papers at: http://c.ymcdn.com/sites/www.southernmanagement.org/resource/resmgr/docs/2018/SMA_2018_Call.pdf
To learn more about conference participation, submitting a manuscript, and volunteering to review; to engage in other conference services; or to view the proceedings from the 2017 SMA Annual Meeting, please visit our website at: www.southernmanagement.org.
The direct link to submit papers and proposals, and to volunteer to review is: https://www.xcdsystem.com/sma/abstract/index.cfm. As we hope to limit each reviewer to no more than three papers total, we'll need a large reviewer pool. Please note that if you are a submitting author, you will also be expected to serve as a reviewer. Doing so is one small way to repay the generosity of the volunteers who will review your work. Plus, SMA recognizes our best reviewers with a number of awards that look great on CVs!
Please plan to be a part of SMA's 2018 "Winner's Circle" in Lexington, Kentucky. We hope to see both existing and new members there!
Sincerely,
