Assistant Professor of Management

The Management & Human Resources Department at the College of Business, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh anticipates hiring a full-time, tenure- faculty member effective September 1, 2013. 

The primary teaching responsibilities are a combination of courses in the area of International Business, Strategic Management and/or Human Resources Management (Benefits/Employee Relations/HRIS/ Safety), for the undergraduate and MBA programs. Preferred teaching and research interest in any combination of related areas include: International Business, Human Resources Management (Benefits/Employee Relations/HRIS/ Safety/international HRM), Strategic Management, or Leadership. Preference will be given to those who can teach wider variety of courses. Faculty members are expected to publish regularly in peer-reviewed journals. Untenured faculty members are expected to participate in service activities for the department and college (e.g., curriculum development). University-level service is expected at higher ranks.

Requirements (Degree/Experience):

Candidates must possess:

• An earned doctorate in International Business, Management or Human Resources Management or closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution (ABDs with a reasonable likelihood of degree completion prior to hiring may also apply).
• A record of excellence in teaching or potential for excellence in teaching;
• A record of publications in refereed journals or ability to satisfy the research requirements of the College of Business Administration; and
• A reasonable likelihood of degree completion prior to hiring.

Organizational experience related to the field and a proven record of building bridges between academia and practice is highly valued.

Starting Date: September 1, 2013
