    The Department of Management and Marketing at Hong Kong Polytechnic University invites applications for faculty positions in management (Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, and Organization Theory) at the ranks of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor. 


    The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is a government-funded tertiary institution in Hong Kong.  It offers programmes at various levels including Doctorate, Master's, and Bachelor's degrees.  It has a full-time academic staff strength of around 1,400.  The total annual consolidated expenditure budget of the University is in excess of HK$7.5 billion.

     

    DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT AND MARKETING

     

    Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Management (several posts) (Ref. 18071006)

     

    The Department of Management and Marketing is one of the constituent departments of the Faculty of Business.  The Department offers a full range of programmes leading to the awards of Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Business Administration.  The Department currently has around 40 full-time academic staff.  The Department is committed to excellence in teaching, research and service to the community.

     

    The management discipline of the Department of Management and Marketing of the University invites applications for faculty positions in management (Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, and Organization Theory) at the ranks of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor.  Management faculty members in our Department regularly publish in top-tier journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Organization Behavior and Human Decision Processes and other premier outlets.  Research-focused applicants interested in joining our vibrant and growing research team are strongly encouraged to apply.

     

    The appointees will be required to (a) engage in top-level scholarly research in their areas of expertise; (b) supervise research students; (c) compete for Hong Kong Research Grants Council funding; and (d) teach at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.

     

    Applicants should have an earned doctoral degree at the time of appointment or be close to receiving it.

     

    Preference will be given to those with a focused research orientation and the potential or demonstrated ability to publish in high quality scholarly journals.  Applicants may be considered for the rank at Associate Professor depending on experience and qualifications.
