The Management Department at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina invites applications and nominations for a tenure track assistant professor position with research interests in the scholarly area of innovation, broadly defined. While faculty rank is for an assistant, consideration of associate or full professors will be limited to situations in which the candidate presents an exceptional record. All faculty searches are subject to the availability of funding.
The position requires a doctoral degree in management or a related field, the ability to do high quality research that will have a major impact on the topic of innovation, and the ability to effectively teach courses in management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. It is also expected that teaching will involve a blended-learning pedagogical approach. The ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in management and/or allied disciplines (e.g., economics, sociology, psychology) and will build upon existing strengths within the department. Multidisciplinary and/or multilevel scholarship is encouraged but not required. Candidates must possess a doctorate or expect to complete the doctorate by August 2017. Assistant professors must demonstrate potential to consistently publish in top-tier scholarly journals. More senior professors must have demonstrated consistent publications in top-tier scholarly journals.
