SUMMER BAYESIAN WORKSHOP

The workshop is presented by Jay Barney, the Ohio State University; Mark Hansen and Lee Perry, BYU; Rafael Goldszmidt, FGV – Brazil; and the Strategic Management Society.
This workshop will acquaint strategy scholars with Bayesian methods.
Participants will learn the differences between Bayesian and traditional statistical approaches. Special attention will be paid to proper inference and hypothesis testing.
Come learn what types of data and phenomena can be appropriately analyzed using Bayesian statistics. This will be a hands-on workshop using real data. Participants should bring a laptop.
The workshop will be limited to about 20 people. Lodging, food, and workshop materials will be provided free of charge to participants. Participants will be responsible for their own travel costs.

Kurtz Chair in Marketing, Professor of Marketing and Statistics, Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University; Gilbert Fellingham, Professor of Statistics, Brigham Young University; and Shane Reese, Professor of Statistics, Brigham Young University.
