The Business Policy and Strategy Division will sponsor a Mid-Career Workshop at the 2012 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management. The Mid-Career Workshop is for BPS faculty members with at least five years of academic experience. The objective of the workshop is to facilitate networking and discussion around the unique professional challenges, problems and opportunities facing BPS faculty moving into their "Associate Professor Years."

The 2012 Workshop will be co-chaired by Peggy Lee (Arizona State University) and Annette L. Ranft (University of Tennessee).  The workshop will take place on Saturday, August 4 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  During that time, participants will hear from a panel of distinguished senior faculty members including Russell Coff (University of Wisconsin), Rodolphe Durand (HEC Paris), Timothy Folta (Purdue University), Margaret Peteraf (Dartmouth College), Richard Priem (Texas Christian University), and Christopher Shook (Auburn University). These panelists will share their views on a number of topics including, among others, editorial roles, sabbaticals, continuing your own research agenda, executive education, working with doctoral students, and administration. The presentations and discussions will be followed by dinner and further conversations at a local restaurant.

To apply for the workshop, please send a cover email and current vita to Peggy at peggy.lee@asu.edu or Annette at aranft@utk.edu by July 15, 2012.
