Mid-Career Consortium Deadline Extended
The Business Policy and Strategy Division is sponsoring a Mid-Career Workshop at the 2013 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management. The Mid-Career Workshop is for BPS faculty members with at least five years of academic experience. The objective of the workshop is to facilitate networking and discussion around the unique professional challenges, problems and opportunities facing BPS faculty moving into their "Associate Professor Years."
The 2013 Workshop is co-chaired by Amy Hillman (Arizona State University) and Annette L. Ranft (University of Tennessee). The workshop will take place on Saturday, August 10 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. During that time, participants will hear from a panel of distinguished senior faculty members including Pratima Bansal (University of Western Ontario), Jean-Philippe Bonardi (HEC University of Lausanne), Jeffrey Reuer (Purdue University), and Rita Gunther McGrath (Columbia University). These panelists will share their views on a number of topics including, among others, editorial roles, sabbaticals, continuing your own research agenda, executive education, working with doctoral students, and administration. The presentations and discussions will be followed by dinner and further conversations at a local restaurant.
