    Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to join us at a Professional Development Workshop on
“Leadership in Academia” at the Academy of Management 2007 conference
this summer. The session is co-sponsored by the CM, OB, IAM, MEN, BPS,
and HR divisions. It will be held on Sunday, August 5, from 8:30 –
9:50am in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Rooms 110 A&B.

Panelists and speakers include Wendi Adair (University of Waterloo),
Peter Kim (University of Southern California), Rick Larrick (Duke
University), Beta Mannix (Cornell University), Denise Rousseau (Carnegie
Mellon University), Maurice Schweitzer (Unviersity of Pennsylvania), Sim
Sitkin (Duke University), and Amy Wrzesniewski (Yale University).

In this session, we will discuss the meaning of leadership in academia.
Panelists will share their perspectives on such topics as: the many
forms that leading colleagues can take, effective leadership in
different domains, establishing your role as a leader, how leadership
evolves with careers, and how our leadership roles extent to making a
    difference in society-at-large.

We hope to see you there!

    Sincerely,

    Kim Wade-Benzoni
