We are still accepting applications to join the hands-on PDW "Exploring Experimental Techniques: A Hands-on and Rapid Prototyping Session" that will be held on Saturday, Aug 6 2016 1:30PM - 4:30PM at Anaheim Marriott in Elite Ballroom 3.
This workshop will provide participants with a space to explore the happy and dark sides of designing an experimental study. Participants can expect loads of interactive and rewarding intense exchange. Exploring Experimental Techniques: A Hands-on and Rapid Prototyping Session
Participants will work in teams and will be guided through suggested steps for thinking about the basics of experimental design. A proposed structure will guide, in a speedy manner, the work of participants. Two table facilitators with experience in experimental studies will guide the participants' work through steps of exploring and selecting ideas for covering the basics of experimental design.

Format:
15 minutes – Introduction to workshop and method and tables arrangements
10 minutes - Round-tables group assignations
90 minutes - Discussion in round tables and elaboration of experiments' protocols punctuated by brief presentations –includes 5 minutes break-
40 minutes - Plenary presentations of protocols by groups (10 minutes x 4 groups)
15 minutes – Exchange of Q&A between groups and plenary discussion
10 minutes – Closing thoughts
Total time: 3 hours
