Factor Analysis: Exploratory, Confirmatory, & Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling

You are invited to attend our Professional Development Workshop (PDW) at the AOM "Factor Analysis: Exploratory, Confirmatory, & Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling."  Our panelists all have extensive experience utilizing factor analysis and in addition they have extensive knowledge reviewing publications utilizing factor analysis. The panelists include Bob Vandenberg (University of Georgia),  Larry Williams (University of North Dakota), and Mark Gavin (West Virginia University).

The session is Saturday August 6, 2016 from 12:30 pm-2:30 pm in room 213A at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The PDW will cover the initial decision of whether to utilize EFA or CFA and when it is appropriate to use each method. We will then discuss appropriate options for research design for factor analysis. The series of questions that will be proposed by the moderators during the session will take attendees through the process of performing factor analysis and the decisions that must be made throughout.

Bring all of your questions about any type of factor analysis to the session. We have blocked off time at the beginning of the PDW to answer questions from the audience to ensure we do not run out of time for questions. We will have additional time for questions at the end of the session. This workshop will explore best practices and guidelines for utilizing Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). This workshop also will also provide a comparison of CFA and EFA within a multilevel context, and introduce attendees to the use of these tools for measure development and substantive theory testing.

No registration is required. We look forward to seeing you there!
