    The Management and Organization Department at the Michael G. Foster School of Business, University of Washington invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time assistant professor tenure-track position in Strategy beginning in September 2017. We have a particular interest in candidates who focus on innovation, but are open to all areas in Strategy.

    Candidates must have a PhD or foreign equivalent. A successful candidate whose degree has not been conferred yet may be appointed on an acting basis. We seek candidates who have an active program of research, experience in teaching, and who have the potential to perform well in teaching courses in strategy at the graduate level. Salary is extremely competitive. This position has a 9-month service period.

The Foster School of Business is well known for its MBA program, as well as undergraduate, PhD, and Executive programs. The Management and Organization department, the largest department within Foster, is consistently ranked among the top 10 most productive management departments in the world in terms of research output in premier journals. The School is housed in Paccar Hall, a 135,000 square feet state-of-the-art classroom and faculty office building.

    The full-time tenure track faculty members in the department include: Bruce Avolio, Chris Barnes, Greg Bigley, Warren Boeker, Xiao-Ping Chen, Emily Cox Pahnke, Crystal Fahr, Ryan Fehr, Abhinav Gupta, Benjamin Hallen, Charles Hill, Michael Johnson, Suresh Kotha, Tom Lee, Dan Olson, Scott Reynolds, Kira Schabram, David Sirmon, Kevin Steensma, David Tan, and Elizabeth Umphress. The department sponsors the annual West Coast Research Symposium, a highly respected forum for technology entrepreneurship and innovation.
