BPS Division 2017 FAQ

Q:  Does BPS already have enough reviewers?

A:  No. Currently about 50-60% of the total number of reviewers required to run the program smoothly, and the more reviewers we have, the more we can spread the load, and make sure that each paper is assigned high quality reviewers in their specific topic area.

Q:  Can I still submit to the BPS division?

A:  Yes. The submission system is already open and your paper can be submitted here http://submission.aom.org. The deadline for doing so is January 10^th, 5PM Eastern Time. Please be aware that in the final hours before the deadline the submission system can be overloaded, so there is a clear benefit to submitting earlier.

Q:  Can I review for BPS even if I might not attend the conference?

A:  Yes! The more reviewers the higher the quality of the program that we can offer. Even if you are not planning on attending the conference, you can sign-up to review right now at: http://review.aom.org

Q:  Can early career graduate students and junior faculty in other fields I know sign-up to review even if they are not members of BPS, or the AOM in general?

A:  Yes, becoming a reviewer does not require you to be a member of the AOM. We encourage all newer scholars to sign-up and start to experience the review process. This process can help starting scholars get ready to review for peer reviewed journals, and become familiar with the most recent developments in their topics of interest.
