Assistant Professor of Human Resources

Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, an AACSB accredited Jesuit/Catholic University, invites applications for a tenure track position in Strategic Human Resources at the Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship beginning in the Fall of 2017. The position entails teaching at the undergraduate and MBA levels in the field of Human Resources, with preference given to those who have a secondary field of International Human Resources, or Business Communications (other areas, commensurate with our department domains, will be considered). With close ties to Cincinnati's business community, our Department provides education, training, and real-life business experiences to undergraduate, MBA and Executive MBA students.

Xavier faculty are expected to be excellent and innovative teachers, active scholars engaging in individual, and collaborative research activity leading to publication in quality outlets, and who will make positive contributions as a colleague to the department, college, university and community. Therefore, we are looking for candidates with demonstrated accomplishments and/or strong potential in teaching and scholarship, and also as contributors to university life. Candidates must hold a PhD degree in Human Resources or a closely related field, or have the firm expectation of completing their PhD prior to the start of the Fall 2017 semester. The ideal candidate will have practical business experience, and prior experience or willingness to teach in an online format. Salary will be competitive.
