Long Island Univ., Brooklyn
ENTREPRENEURSHIP, TWO POSITIONS:
SENIOR-LEVEL OPENING
The LIU Brooklyn School of Business, Public Administration, and Information Sciences is seeking to fill a senior-level faculty position in Entrepreneurship. Among the skills and knowledge that are most desirable are an understanding of the development and implementation of entrepreneurial strategies, experience with start-ups, turnarounds and entrepreneurial ventures, as well as familiarity with entrepreneurial finance. Candidates applying for this position must have an earned Ph.D., demonstrated research skills, and a desire to participate in the student support and community outreach programs of the LIU Brooklyn Entrepreneurship Center. Given the tenured nature of this position, a strong, proven track record of research and publication is also essential, as is the ability to clearly communicate this knowledge and to teach these skills. Because the School offers Entrepreneurship courses at the undergraduate, masters, and executive levels, candidates should have the capability for excellent classroom performance in an array of programs and at various levels. The faculty candidate hired in this position will fulfill their teaching requirements through teaching in various credit-bearing, degree-granting programs, including for-credit classes which may be developed and offered through the LIU Brooklyn Entrepreneurship Center. The Entrepreneurship Center provides support to entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs through mentoring, program development, and non-credit classes. This search is subject to final budget allocation.
