    Common Methodological Pitfalls in Research

    PANEL
    (in alphabetical order):

Glenn Hoetker, Arizona State U. & SMJ associate editor

Mariko Sakakibara, U. of California, Los Angeles & JIBS area editor
Laszlo Tihanyi, Texas A&M U. & AMJ associate editor

    FACILITATORS
    (in alphabetical order):

    Anna Lamin, Northeastern U.

    Grigorios Livanis, Northeastern U.

    Have you ever wondered:

What are editors' expectations when they evaluate a methods section in a paper?

What is a common methodological reason papers get rejected?

What's the best (and worst) way to address endogeneity?

What should I do with limited dependent variables (logit/probit)?

This PDW presents valuable insights on good methodological strategies, by three journal editors: Professors Glenn Hoetker, Mariko Sakakibara and Laszlo Tihanyi. We will first pose general questions to the panel and then open it up for Q&A, so bring your methodological questions!
