The Knowledge & Innovation and Cooperative Strategies Interest Groups are pleased to co-sponsor a paper development workshop and future research directions workshop on Saturday October 3rd, 2015 from 9AM until 1PM (lunch included).
The workshop is open to all, but preference will be given to junior faculty. The workshop is focused on probing current and emerging questions relating to organizations' search for novel knowledge and the impact on innovation. Broadly defined, topics of interest include: mechanisms and networks of inter-organizational knowledge development, cooperative strategies in technology and R&D platforms, development and integration of external sources of innovation through corporate venturing, knowledge search and entrepreneurship, and related topics. This session is intended to 1) provide collective insights from a panel of senior scholars operating at the forefront of this field; and 2) to include feedback on current papers in progress that are focused on this topic.
The panel includes Nicholas Argyres (Washington U – St Louis); Gary Dushnitsky (London Business School); Constance Helfat (Dartmouth College); Kyle J. Mayer (U Southern California); Melissa Schilling (NYU) and Melissa Graebner (U Texas Austin).
Submission Guidelines
Please upload one document that includes the following items by August 21, 2015:
- A complete working paper (only one paper per submitting author) that is targeted at a top research journal.
- A current CV.
- Title, abstract, and list of co-authors on the paper
- Brief statement of interest in participating in the workshop.
The organizers will review the submitted papers, and their decision will be communicated to you by September 11, 2015.
