The Keck Graduate Institute is seeking multiple qualified faculty with research and teaching experience at the intersection of business and technology. Candidates should have both MBA-level teaching experience and knowledge of technology-based industries; experience with pharmaceutical or other life science industries is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for understanding and explaining how business influences the success of technology-based firms and industries, and preparing students for careers in these industries. We have teaching needs in accounting, finance, operations management, organizational behavior and strategy, but will consider candidates with teaching experience and interests in any standard business discipline.
The teaching load for research-active faculty is equivalent to four semester courses per year, with commensurate expectations of publication and research funding. We are also interested in non-research faculty, who would be appointed as a professor of practice with greater teaching or service responsibilities. We will consider candidates at any level, but research-active faculty should have a terminal degree prior to appointment.
Applicants should submit a cover letter describing professional and academic experience and expertise, a curriculum vita, and list of three professional references to
bus-prof-app@kgi.edu. Applications will be reviewed starting October 1, 2015, for fall campus visits and summer 2016 appointment.
KGI faculty will be attending the Academy of Management in Vancouver. To schedule a meeting - or find out more about the opening - please contact Professor Joel West (
Joel_West@kgi.edu).
