THE BUSINESS EDUCATION JAM
Boston University School of Management is celebrating its centennial, and doing so in a massive way. In collaboration with IBM and sponsorship from leading organizations, the School of Management is launching an unprecedented Jam on the future of business education. Pioneered by IBM and utilized by leading corporations, a "Jam" is a large-scale, collaborative online event that drives creativity and thought exploration on a stimulating topic. Through engaging discussion forums, thousands of participants around the world will unite over a 60-hour period. Esteemed VIP guests from top business schools and companies will drive the Jam, offering a wealth of expertise and posing pivotal questions. The Jam will unleash the brainpower of a global audience to share, learn, and build-together.
ENVISIONING THE FUTURE
The world is rapidly changing and so will the role of business education. To envision its future through new thinking, the Jam must achieve broad participation: business schools, scholars, faculty, students, employers, executives, and thought leaders. This is not a one-way panel discussion. It is a worldwide brainstorm like never before.
The Jam will bring together participants on a variety of pressing questions. What are the leading concerns for industry when hiring today's workforce? How can business research be supported, conducted, and disseminated? How will business schools support the development of future leaders? How can industry harness the power of today's connected generation? What is the influence of character and ethics in hiring? How should business models and business schools' service offerings change to reflect new realities? This transformative event will not simply spark discussions between business schools, but will raise the voices of
all stakeholders.
ENGAGE WITH US
Give to the Jam and the Jam gives back. The participation of scholars, faculty, students, alumni, corporations, and executives will not only drive a global conversation, but will allow participants to expand their networks, collaborate on ideas, and bring new concepts back to their own research, corporations, and schools. Throughout the summer, more information on the Jam will be released, including premier corporate sponsors, partner organizations, and VIP guest hosts. Until then, prepare to be
a groundbreaker:
