    DEVELOPING THE MANAGEMENT STUDIES COMMUNITY

    CALL FOR FUNDING APPLICATIONS

SAMS (The Society for the Advancement of Management Studies) invites applications twice yearly in January and July for funding to support events or activities that benefit the management studies community in general.

Priority will be given to proposals that contribute to the development of doctoral students and/or early career academics. We will consider applications for repeat funding in exceptional cases only, and where the applicants are able to clearly demonstrate the impact SAMS funding had on their previous event.

When completing the application form, please make clear how SAMS' funds will be used and how they will result in demonstrable additional benefits to the management studies community.

SAMS normally expects to fund to a maximum of £10,000, but most awards are significantly less than this, therefore it is expected, though not required, that there should be other sources of support. Please note that these funds are for the organisation of workshops and events, not to fund research projects, individual pieces of research, conference attendance or staff costs in any form, including honoraria.

The deadline for the latest round of applications is 9th January, 2015. Proposals received after the closing date cannot be considered until the July 2015 round.

Application forms can be downloaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rtgvlg49g1qdhx7/SAMS%20Funding%20Opps%20application%20form%20Jan%2015.doc?dl=0
