OLD DOMINION UNIVERSITY NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR PHD PROGRAM IN BUSINESS

Applications for the Old Dominion University (ODU) PhD program are invited and encouraged for promising Masters-level students with an interest in teaching and researching within the field of strategic management.  All of the doctoral programs in business at the Strome College of Business require a support area in international business, and the same is true for the strategic management track.  ODU is located on the east coast of Virginia in the vibrant port city of Norfolk. 

ODU relaunched its doctoral program in strategic management in 2006 and has placed each and every graduate in desirable tenure-track positions throughout the United States.  Our program's focus on the intersection between strategic management and international business qualifies our students to teach and do research in both of these fields of study and differentiates them from other doctoral programs. 

The strategic management faculty at ODU consists of the following scholars, all of whom are research active and engaged with a diverse array of research topics: William Judge (North Carolina), Steve Lanivich (Florida State), Shaomin Li (Princeton), Tim Madden (Tennessee), Anil Nair (NYU), George White (Texas at El Paso), and Jing Zhang (National University of Singapore).  In addition, we have a collegial and collaborative relationship with our colleagues in the OB/HR fields, including: Lance Frazier (Oklahoma), Rachel Frieder (Florida State), Ryan Klinger (Florida), and Soo-Hoon Lee (National University of Singapore).
