Assistant Professor, Strategic Management
The Department of Management in the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, starting July 1, 2015. The ideal candidate already holds a PhD, or is near completion, and can demonstrate potential for research and teaching excellence. The primary teaching and research interests of the successful candidate will be in strategic management. Further teaching and research expertise in international business would be considered an asset.
Saint Mary's is a public university with over 7,000 students, offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees. Our university is committed to serving the local, regional, national and international communities, and integrating such activity as part of the learning environment for undergraduate and graduate students. The Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University is a balanced teaching/research institution and it has the largest business program in the Atlantic Provinces. The Sobey School of Business offers AACSB accredited degrees at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels. The Management Department consists of 18 full-time faculty who deliver core courses to the undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department also delivers courses contributing to the majors in Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management/Industrial Relations, Global Business Management, and Management. The PhD in Management, the Master and Diploma in Management of Co-operatives and Credit Unions, and the certificate program in Human Resource Management are also associated with the Management Department. The Sobey School is located in a modern facility providing state of the art technology for classrooms.
