Applicants with excellent research potential are invited to apply for 7
fully-funded, full-time, Doctoral Studentships in Management to commence in
September 2014. These studentships will cover tuition fees and provide a
monthly stipend, for a period of two years in the Master phase plus three
years in the PhD phase, subject to satisfactory progress in each program.
Universidad Carlos III is a renowned institution in Europe for its
management education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well
as for its extensive and high quality research. The University has been
included among the top 100 universities in the world in the Social Sciences
and Management, according to QS World University Ranking for their
distinguished academic programs. We offer a joint degree program in
Management in collaboration with ESCP-Europe ranked 1st in Financial Times
and our MBA program has the international accreditation of AMBA. The
extensive list of publications of our faculty in the top academic journals
(Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative
Science Quarterly, Econometrica, Management Science, Organization Science,
Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial

Department of Business Administration in the top 150 for AR World
Universities Ranking and in the top 100 according to the University of

The program is a five year PhD program that consists of two phases:
1. First phase = Master MB&QM: 2 years. This is the coursework of the PhD
program. The scholarships are awarded for this program. Those that qualify
will see the scholarship extended for the second phase
2. Second phase = PhD writing phase: 3 years. For those who have completed
the MB&QM and quality for the second phase.
The program is a full-time program with all classes been taught in English.
Graduating students find placement in the world of research, both academic
and non-academic, in international organizations, central banks, government
agencies, and leading corporations.
