The Management, HR and Information Systems Area of the Orfalea College of Business at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) seeks applicants for one or more full-time, tenure-track, academic year positions at open rank (Assistant, Associate or full Professor) in the primary area of Strategic Management. Both rank and salary are commensurate with experience. The position is subject to final budgetary approval. Interest and ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate (MBA) level classes is desirable. Applicants must be able to teach courses in Strategic Management. An ability to teach Organizational Theory and/or International Business courses would be a plus. The anticipated starting date for the position is Fall 2015.
The successful candidate must have completed a doctorate or equivalent degree in Business or a closely related field from an AACSB or equivalent accredited institution. The Ph.D. should be awarded by the time of appointment. Applicants are expected to demonstrate exemplary teaching and a strong publication record (corresponding to rank), as well as currency in their professional field.
