Visiting Assistant Professor in Strategic Management

The Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico invites
applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department
of Organizational Studies. The appointment begins no later than August 11,
2014 subject to budgetary approval. The successful candidate will be
responsible for teaching courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels in
strategic management depending on primary field of study.
The Anderson School is AACSB accredited. Its management programs enroll
approximately 1000 undergraduate students and 500 graduate students. The
School emphasizes collaborative student interaction, active adult learning,
team experiences, and scholarship that draws upon a variety of methodologies
and subject areas. New Mexico is an ethnically diverse state with a rich

Minimum qualifications: Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Strategic
Management or a closely related field or present evidence of expected
completion of a Ph.D. in strategic management or a closely related field by
May 15, 2015.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
• Strong research record and research interests that are open to
investigating academic questions that draw upon a variety of paradigms and
methodologies;
• Excellence in teaching performance and potential for excellence in
developing innovative learning methods;
• Experience teaching strategic management at the college level;
• Evidence or potential for excellence in working with multicultural
constituencies.
