University of Kansas School of Business seeks a Visiting Professor of Strategic Management. This appointment is a non-tenure track, term appointment for either (a) the 2014-15 academic year or (b) only the Spring Semester of the 2014-15 academic year. This visiting faculty position is open to applicants at the Assistant, Associate or Full professor levels.
Position will entail teaching of a Strategy Implementation elective class in the KU Working Professional MBA Program in the Spring semester of 2015 and teaching other Strategic Management classes as needed. Anticipated teaching load is two courses per semester.
Special consideration will be given to applicants committed to excellence who can contribute to the University's innovative, collaborative, and multidisciplinary initiatives to educate leaders, build healthy communities, and make discoveries that will change the world (see

Required Qualifications:
Evaluation of the following requirements will be made through (1) letter of application describing experience and accomplishments; (2) record of productivity in teaching, research and service as noted in CV; (3) research statement and supplemental materials (e.g., publications); (4) teaching statement and supplemental materials (teaching portfolio, sample syllabi, teaching evaluations); (5) information provided by three professional references.
For appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor:
1. A Ph.D. or D.B.A. degree in strategic management, management, or a closely related field (must be earned by August 15, 2014.)
2. Demonstrated teaching excellence in strategic management
3. Demonstrated excellent scholarship (or potential for excellent scholarship) as shown through publications and working papers.
For appointment at the rank of Visiting Associate Professor:
1. A Ph.D. or D.B.A. degree in strategic management, management, or a closely related field.
2. Record of productive teaching excellence in strategic management.
3. Demonstrated excellent scholarship as shown through publications that have enabled the candidate to be successfully promoted to Associate Professor at research-oriented university.
For appointment at the rank of Visiting Full Professor:
1. A Ph.D. or D.B.A. degree in strategic management, management, or a closely related field.
2. Established record of teaching excellence in strategic management.
3. Sustained record of excellent scholarship as shown through publications that have enabled the candidate to be successfully promoted to Full Professor at research-oriented university.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience teaching strategic management classes in a working professional MBA environment.
2. Desire to engage in interdisciplinary research with colleagues and doctoral students in the Management Area and the School of Business.
