    The Department of Management and Organization in Hanken School of
    Economics (Helsinki, Finland) is recruiting one Assistant Professor and
    one Assistant/Associate Professor in Management and Organization.

    ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in Management and Organization for a 5-year period
    starting 1.8.2014

    As an Assistant Professor (Swedish forskardoktor) you will teach,
    conduct independent research in your own field of interest and carry out
    administrative duties. The annual working time of teaching and research
    staff within the department is 1600 hours. You will find more

    As Assistant Professor (Swedish: forskardoktor) you will be responsible for:

    Conducting research that meets high international levels, publishing
    your research in scholarly outlets and communicating the results of your
    work to the business community and society at large.
    Contributing to the research efforts and the development of new research
    capabilities of the department.
    Contributing successfully to the competence development of students by
    providing research-based teaching and supervision.
    Contributing to the development of the teaching capabilities of the
    department.
    Contributing to the administration of the department and the business
    school.
    Applicants for the position are required to have a PhD degree completed
    within a relevant field awarded less than five years ago. In addition,
    good teaching skills are required. The successful applicant will be
    expected to have good knowledge of English. The ability to teach in
    Swedish is considered a merit. The ability to teach courses on
    Organizational Theory and/or Strategic Management is a merit, too.

    Since a majority of teachers in the department currently are male, we
    especially welcome female applicants for the posts.

    When assessing and comparing the qualifications of the applicants for
    the position, their research and teaching merits are considered. The
    most competent applicants will be invited for a presentation and
    interview with the department council. These will take place through
    videoconference between Helsinki and Vaasa.

    The position is placed in the preliminary requirement category 5-7 for
    teaching and research personnel. In addition, a performance-based bonus
    may be added. The salary is about 3.274 - 4.871 € / month depending upon
    merits.
