The concepts of value creation and value capture (VCVC) have taken center stage theoretically and empirically in strategy research. Yet as we move to a broader understanding of how value is created and shared among buyers, firms, employees, suppliers and the government, new empirical methods can enable further unlocking of these theoretical advances. This professional development workshop will introduce recent methodological directions that are relevant to researchers of value creation and value capture. We will seek to better understand and measure how value is created and shared among stakeholders. We will combine presentations, discussion and round tables in a highly interactive format.
