    We are delighted to share this special issue of Strategy Science: What Makes a Decision Strategic, edited by Michael Leiblein, Jeff Reuer, and Todd Zenger. This issue brings our attention to the question of what constitutes the core and distinctive elements of the field, with a number of leading scholars across a range of theoretical approaches contributing their perspective.
